Before Air Balancing Company (ABC) does any testing and balancing, the techs take the time to prepare. It is very important to have all the necessary data and information needed before starting.

Preparation steps:

• Get all the equipment submittals, job specifications books, and mechanical drawings.
• Read your TAB specification section.
• Have all A/C, exhaust, outlet, inlet sheets filled in with as much information as possible. For example, submittal data or grille designs.
• Label all A/C units and grilles on prints completely.
• Inspect the job at different stages of construction to get familiar with the project and to find any installation errors.
• Coordinate with contractors involved with the project on a regular basis to establish and maintain a good working relationship.
• Make sure all equipment has power and the startup has been completed.
• Inspect fan rotation, filters and coils.
